Ric first brought his CAGE to the National stage when he made BLACKENED STRING BEANS on NBCs today show in 2004. Since then he literally cooked over One Million String beans at his two restaurants, at fairs, festivals and events. CAGE CAJUN SEASONING 4.5 OZ BOTTLE is enough to blacken 15 lbs of string beans, 10 lbs of catfish or chicken or to season a boatload of gumbo. It is also a perfect spice blend for any Louisiana or Southern style stew, shrimp and grits or even a shake on fried chicken. So EASY to be Delish!

Blackening

Use CAGE to blackened fish, shrimp, chicken, steaks, chops, tofu, eggplant, seitan and more- Just add a very light coating of neutral oil, toss to coat with CAGE and cook in a white hot, dry cast iron skillet.

Slow Seasoning

Use CAGE as a seasoning for the obvious like Gumbo, Jambalaya, Etouffee Creole sauce and Shrimp’n’Grits but ALSO slower cooked dishes like soups, stews, beans, pilafs, chili, and salsas, ketchup and aiolis.

Boil

Use CAGE as your seasoning for any type of seafood boil, from Crawfish to Shrimp

Roast

Rub some CAGE into your chicken, turkey, large fish, pork, beef before roasting for a memorable crust.

Quick Seasoning

Whenever you are sauteeing anything from seafood and chicken to mushrooms and veggies add a little CAGE in place of salt and pepper to make your food pop. Sprinkle

Use CAGE raw as a burst of flavor. Sprinkle on everything from eggs, pizza, popcorn, fried chicken, fries and fritters, pickles, garlic bread, nuts, tortilla chips

Dobe: Fantastic Seasoning

I used Ric's Dobe seasoning on a beautiful corvina filet. I coated it with some cilantro/roasted garlic olive oil and then spread the Dobe all over accoringly. I put some oil in the pan and cooked it through on both sides. The taste was phenominal! Oustanding! You're going to love this!

My kitchen is like a New World!

Big fan of “New World Home Cooking” back when it was in the Old House. Especially loved Rics Green Beans as well as the drippy, succulent Shrimp dish. That was 1996(?) Obsessed with this dry-rubbed on grilled chicken and my only issue is having enough things to season since deciding between perk and jerk and sometimes q is not really possible. I eat them all…spice-rubbed around the world…if i close my eyes I’m sitting at my favorite table in NWHC and I’m looking forward to more beans, ropa and bananas foster alongside my chix; my kitchen pales but the spice blends from Ric are spot-on, always.

Worldly Flavors

Adds great flavor to everything. My favorite are thighs. Its hard to keep in the house. I am glad its available in larger sizes.
